24 in 48 Readathon: Update 1

Hello from Chicagoland! It is a beautiful day and we are here for a quick update on our reading.

Like I said in our kick off post, we started reading this morning rather than last night. Since getting up, I (Erin) have clocked in 3 hours of reading and am halfway through Tana French’s The Trespasser. Peter is reading The Princess Bride by William Goldman, and we are both enjoying the sunshine and breeze coming through our windows.

While I haven’t read quite as much as I anticipated at this point, I am absolutely loving The Trespasser and have spent time on checking out what everyone else is reading too. We have some plans this evening, so we may not have an update until tomorrow morning, but Sunday is all about the books!

And in non-readathon news, we just want to give a HUGE shoutout to every single woman and person marching around the country and world today. The Women’s March here in Chicago was so packed with people there was no where to march to – the route was flooded with support. It’s a bright spot of hope as we enter an uncertain four years.

That’s it for this update! We are back to reading, and will continue to update things on Twitter, Instagram, and Litsy throughout the day/night/weekend. Come talk to us and let us know what you’re reading, either in the comments or on the social medias. And until next time, happy reading!
