Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: October 2016 Wrap Up

Hellooooo readers!

10-16-readathon-wrap-upThe October 2016 Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is officially in the books, and it was AWESOME. I read 4 books over 17 hours, for a total of 1,476 pages, which I think is pretty respectable. My TBR was 8 books but the shortest one was just shy of 250 pages, so I didn’t think I would get through all of them and I am happy to have completed half!

Books Completed:
Fellside // M.R. Carey (4/5 stars)
Gilead // Marilynne Robinson (3/5 stars)
Missing, Presumed // Susie Steiner (4/5 stars)
Dark Matter // Blake Crouch (4/5 stars)

My favorite book was Missing, Presumed and Dark Matter, and I was least impressed with Gilead, even though I still enjoyed it. I think it’s pretty good when 3 of the 4 books completed are 4 star books! I participated in a number of mini-challenges throughout the day, and even though I didn’t win anything I still had a great time. We also hosted the Video Game A Book mini-challenge in hour 14 and it was so fantastic – we loved all the responses and talking to y’all about books & games!

If you participated in the readathon, how was your reading? What was your favorite book? Did you do any of the mini-challenges?

The next readathon will be April 29, 2017 so mark your calendars! Game & Read will be back and reading (and hopefully mini-challenging) in April and we hope you’ll join us! If you want to keep up with us between readathons, check us out on YoutubeTwitterInstagram, and Litsy and listen to the podcast!

Until next time, happy reading!
–Erin (& Peter)
