Dewey’s Readathon: Hour 8 Update

Hello readers!

We are halfway through hour 8 and I’m back with another update. You know what that means…I finished another book! I completed Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. It is a quiet novel written as a letter from an old father to his young son, and it was definitely character driven. I enjoyed it, though I think it was a little bit hyped and thus fell a bit flat for me.

My next book is going to be Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner. I’m moving back into thriller and am looking forward to this one quite a bit. Sometime between now and finishing book three, I will probably either a) power nap, b) drink more coffee, c) take a cold shower, or d) all of the above. Not gonna lie, y’all, the yawns are becoming more frequently than I’d like at this point. But I will rally and continue reading!

I hope your readathon is all you want it to be! I’d love to hear what y’all have read or what you’re planning to read during the next third of this readathon.

I’ll be back with another update when I’ve finished Missing, Presumed and until then, happy readathoning!
