Wow, it’s already October! Halloween season, changing leaves, falling temps, coffee, and perfect book weather. But before we get too far into October, here’s my September reading wrap up!

Goodreads Challenge:
92/100 books read

Book Riot Read Harder Challenge:
So I didn’t actually complete anything in September but I still made some progress!  I am in the middle of American Psycho (book published the year you were born), and I checked out a number of books to fulfill other tasks. October is going to my power month!

Book of the Month Club Pick:
SUCH a good group of books this month, I don’t even know where to start. We’ve got The Mothers by Brit Bennett (who was just picked as one of the National Book Foundation’s 5 under 35), Emma Donoghue’s new novel The WonderGood as Gone by Amy Gentry, The Fall Guy by James Lasdun, and The Wangs vs. The World by Jade Chang. I mean seriously, how am I supposed to pick?? I’ll report on my pick on the next episode of the Game & Read podcast!

Overall, I knocked out another 7 books this month, including one audiobook. October promises to be a strong reading month because the fall Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is October 22 (go sign up to participate! It’s the best!).

Don’t forget you can read detailed reviews of all the books I read at goodreads.com/emurch, and if you have any thoughts about any of the books I’ve read this month tweet me @GameandRead. Also check us out on Instagram and Litsy, both @GameandRead, and listen to the podcast available here on the blog and on iTunes. And until next time, happy reading!
