Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: April 2016 Wrap Up

Good morning friends!

The April 2016 Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is officially in the books, and it was a ton of fun. I tapped out at hour 16 – my body rebelled against reading any more and I had to put the books down. BUT I still read a ton during this spring’s readathon – I completed five books and read about 100 pages of book 6 before calling it a night.

Books Completed:
Room by Emma Donoghue
The Pickle Index by Eli Horowitz
The Child Garden by Catriona McPherson
War Dances by Sherman Alexie
The Gates by John Connolly

Books in Progress:
–100 pages read of Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes

My favorite book was War Dances, followed closely by The Gates and Room. The most disappointing book was The Child Garden. I’ve got reviews of all the books I completed over at Goodreads. I also participated in a number of mini-challenges throughout the day, and even though I didn’t win anything I still had a great time.

If you participated in the readathon, how was your reading? What was your favorite book? Did you do any of the mini-challenges?

The next readathon will be October 22, 2015 so mark your calendars! I’ll hopefully be able to participate again and read even more.

Until next time, happy reading!
