24 in 48 Readathon Preparations

It’s almost tiiiiiiime…the 24 in 48 readathon is almost here! The official start and end times of the readathon are 12:01 a.m. ET on 1/16 to 11:59 p.m. ET on 1/17. Since I operate in central time rather than eastern time, I’ll be starting my readathon TONIGHT at 11:01 p.m. and ending it 10:59 p.m. Sunday. I’m so ready, y’all. I finished a book yesterday afternoon (Silver Linings Playbook – I have a review on Goodreads if you are interested!) and usually I instantly go choose a new book to start. But in anticipation of the readathon I haven’t started anything yet and I am itching to get into my stack.

Speaking of which, here’s my official TBR stack for the 24 in 48 readathon:

I have to say, I think I am most excited for Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi – I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this one for a while now, so that’s probably what I’ll start with.

The weather is supposed to be miserable this weekend, especially Sunday (it’s a high of 4 and a low of -2. I seriously can’t even comprehend that) so I’ll be cozy and drinking lots of coffee and probably eating a lot of leftover Christmas Lifesavers while I dive into each of these (hopeful) masterpieces. You can’t go wrong with coffee, Lifesavers, and books, right?

The TBR is set, the weekend is cleared, and I am ready. Let me know if you’re participating by commenting here or tweeting me @EMurch. Happy reading!
