Erin’s December Wrap-Up & 2016 Reading Goals

Happy 2016! It is January 2, 2016 and I am so excited for this year in all things books, games, and life. I started posting monthly updates in November, so this post is my December wrap-up AND my reading goals for 2016. It’s a double-whammy of book fun!

Goodreads Challenge:
87/75 books in 2015

[You can find reviews of all the books I read at]

And now, my 2016 reading goals!
Goodreads Challenge:
I just set my Goodreads Challenge number at…100 books! I’ll be finishing up my degree this May, so I’ll have to spend less time on courses and I’ll get to spend more time on reading for pleasure. It’s a big goal but I read 87 books in 2015 while being a full time graduate student, so I think 100 is definitely attainable.

Book Riot Read Harder Challenge:
The other big goal I am setting for myself this year is to complete the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. I have heard about the Read Harder challenge (I listen to a lot of Book Riot podcasts) and thought what better way to be intentional about reading diversely than this? It’s 24 categories you fill with books you’ve read – there’s non-fiction, fiction, genres, particular author profiles, etc. I’ll post updates here as I complete tasks. You can find the challenge here and join in!

If you’ve read any of these books, let me know what you think. I’d also love to know YOUR reading goals for 2016! Comment here or find me on Twitter @EMurch.

Happy reading!
