While Erin was busy participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-athon, I took it upon myself to do my own less intense version that included a day full of games, and some reading.
I began by reading a chunk of The Magicians in preparation for our next Game & Read discussion. I switched over to Pikmin 3 around 8:30 AM. I hadn’t played this game before, but I had it in my backlog for some time. I played a couple of hours of that and enjoyed the beginning areas, though the constant time countdown stresses me out a little (See this post from my other blog for a more thorough look into my psyche). I switched over to Bravely Default for a little while, I have been meaning to return to this game for about 3 months now. Finally, I capped my mini-thon with Broken Age for a couple of hours. I downloaded Broken Age recently and have been enjoying the point and click adventure. I haven’t played this type of game since Day of the Tentacle. In addition to all of this I was Erin’s pit crew, keeping her fed and such so that she could read a ridiculous number of books in one day.
That’s the totality of my playing and reading today. I didn’t complete anything, but I made good headway in several things I have been wanting to get to.
